Gaya Island & Sapi Island

Just 20 minutes away by boat from Kota Kinabalu city, Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park beckons with its idyllic setting of sun, sand and sea. You can picnic, snorkel, and scuba dive or just relax. The day is yours to enjoy at leisure and it may be as lazy or as fun-filled as you wish it to be. Sumptuous barbecue is offered.

Itinerary

0830 hrs

Meet on arrival or at hotel lobby, depart from hotel to marina jetty

(Subject to change depending on hotel Pick-up)

Take a boat ride to the biggest island located in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park – Gaya Island. Take an interesting walk in the lowland Dipterocarp forest and mangrove plank walk which reveals insight of a Mangrove swamp forest.

Explore one of the 2 km to 3 km jungle trails in the virgin tropical rainforest of the island with your guide, and learn about some of the unique medicinal plants, tropical hardwood trees, coastal vegetation, tropical dipterocarp rainforest and the ecology of the mangrove forest. Trek along rainforest trails which meet tropical ocean.

1130 hrs

Transfer to sapi where you will be able to relax and luxuriate on pristine white beaches, swim in warm azure waters and snorkel admist a myriad of tropical fishes or explore rich coral reefs on the islands’ fringes.island and a sumptuous BBQ Lunch will be served.

1630 hrs

Depart from island to Sutera Harbour Marina Jetty.
