Day1

Early Moring pick up from you hotel in Kota Kinabalu and transfer to International Airport.

Meet and pick-up on arrival at the Sandakan Airport.

Embark your air-conditioned transport, the ride takes approximately 2hrs through rustic countryside studded with villages. Arrive e at Gomantong Caves located in the heartland of the Gomantong Forest Reserve, a home of millions bats and swiftlets. Explore the biggest bird’s nest cave in Sabah and the best managed edible birds’ nest. Continue an approximately 30mins drive to Bilit Rainforest Lodge located beside the Lower Kinabatangan River in the village of Bilit, a base for easy exploration of the incredible diversity of plant, mammal and birds at the Kinabatangan region. Upon arrival at Bilit Jetty , take a boat transfer to the lodge.

Welcome drink, short briefing and check-in. Lunch at Bilit Restaurant. Alternative explore the surrounding vegetation or just relax . At 1600hrs join a river cruise in search of endemic Proboscis monkeys, different species of birds and other wildlife along the river bank. At 1900hrs dinner at Bilit Restaurant.

You may (optional tour-price not included in package) take a night cruise in search of nocturnal animals and birds. Remember to look up at the clear, dark sky of Kinabatangan River, identify the constellations above you and make a wish or two.

Day2

OPTIONAL - Early Morning Cruise or Jungle Trek to OX-BOW Lake for bird watching.

Return to lodge for late breakfast. Free at leisure. Lunch at Bilit Restaurant. At 1600hrs join a river cruise in search of more species primates and wildlife along the Kinabatangan River bank.

Overnight at Bilit Rainforest Lodge.

Day3

Breakfast. 0700hrs, Return to Sandakan and transfer to jetty . At 0930hrs, boat departs to Turtle Island. It takes about an hour to reach Selingan Turtle Island which lies 40km north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea off Sabah's east coast. Selingan Turtle Island is the main nesting area for the Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. Lunch,free at leisure ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. After dinner, prepare to wait for the Park Ranger to inform of the sighting of a turtle laying eggs. Witness the collecting of eggs from the nesting site, planting them in the hatchery and see baby turtles scrambling to the open sea upon released on the shore.

Day 4 – Choose one Option

Option A – Sepilok Orang Utan

Breakfast. 0700hrs, an hour boat ride to Sandakan. Meet our driver. En-route to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Upon arrival, a short brief by your guide. Then watch a video show documentary on rehabilitation of orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the low land rainforest to view the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs. Enjoy your lunch before transfer to Sabah Hotel for check-in. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to shop and explore on your own.

Option B – City Tour

Breakfast. 0700hrs, an hour boat ride to Sandakan. Meet our driver. En-route to City tour. First visit is the Puh Jih Shih Buddhist Temple, a place that you do not want to miss. It is located on the hilltop overlooking a breathtaking panoramic view of Sandakan Bay. Next stop is the Sandakan Central Market which consolidates all kind of stalls selling fresh produce to amazing variety of handicrafts, pearls and many more. Last, visit the Sim Sim Water Village where houses are all built on stilts and linked together. Observe the fascinating view of the sea and the local fishermen families with their daily activities.

Enjoy your lunch before transfer to Sabah Hotel for check-in. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to shop and explore on your own.

Option C – Sepilok Orang Utan and City Tour (Additional charge of RM50.00 per person)

Breakfast. 0700hrs, an hour boat ride to Sandakan. Meet our driver. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Watch the video show documentary rehabilitation at orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the low land rainforest to view the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000hrs. Enjoy your lunch before proceed to City Tour; we will stop to make a visit at Puh Jih Syh Buddhist Temple which offers a panoramic view of Sandakan Bay , Central Market where you find the most amazing variety of seafood, handicrafts, pearls and many more. Next stop is the Sim Sim Water Village where houses are all built on the open sea, close to the water surface and many of the houses are linked together. Visitors can enjoy their meal of fresh seafood while observing the fascinating view of the sea.

DAY 5

After breakfast at Sabah Hotel transfer to Sandakan Airport. Arrive in Kota Kinabalu, transfer back to you respective hotel.
